Got Wind?

In the old days, we used to gauge the wind speed by looking up the yardarm at how the flag was moving. Now there's a cool App for this. It's called WindMeter and it's simple -  point your iPhone into the wind and push Get Wind! The wait a few seconds and push Got Wind! The final reading is the average wind speed for the period.

This innovative App works by measuring the volume of the wind on your phone's microphone and converts it into a wind speed reading. Pretty cool. It's currenlty a top 20 App in the iTunes store. At $.99, how can you go wrong?!
